Was his card a cadillac card or a chevy card. From what you describe it is a chevy card that does not account for double plays individually for hitters or pitchers. So all hitters get some double plays and all pitchers get the gb(c) instead of gb(A).

Any gbpos(x) has a chance for a double play if there is also a runner on. Depending on the opposing defense of course. Mr Morgan may not have played against the best defenders of the period and therefore, paired with his speed, may not have hit into many DP's (maybe all 3 were lo(dp))...? Therefore, in Stratland, if he faces a combo infield of 1's and/or 2's he may hit into more than 3 DP's in ONE game. It's the beauty/ugly of Strat. That's why it's so cool to play this game! They try to make it as "realistic" as possible, yet, we put the "players" into very unrealistic circumstances (the 'what if's if you will).

Thank you for your time.

I love this game!

Yea, but for hitters from these chevy seasons get double whammied in ATG. They have all the extra double plays on their cards because none of the pitchers did for that year but then in ATG they face all these pitchers who have double plays on their cards with none removed from the hitters resulting in them hitting in to way more double plays than they should.

The really frustrating thing is for a lot of these years the cadillac version is available in the cdrom game so all they need to do is swap out the chevy card for the already existing cadillac cards. This is one of the things that drove me to take a vacation. I was letting things like this get to me.

To be honest I would have hoped when Strat created a whole new version they would have got rid of all these chevy cards.
Almost all the seasons in the cdrom game have cadillac cards available for the expansion era.

Is this really an issue? most of my teams the #2 and #1 hitters with 4 times the GBA chance only have 14-18 DP hit into so that would be 3-4 double plays for Morgan 1975. Are there seasons that can be posted that show this drastically out of line where he bats 1st or 2nd in a lineup?
In 1974 he hit into 7 DP and he has twice as many GBA on that card.

Teams in ATG are continually beating the All time record for double plays in a season of 174, 190 is not uncommon but that is what happens when you greatly escalate the OBP of hitters, increase fielding and have better pitchers.
