Dope is down

Been a few days now
Such a great resource

Looks okay to me.

I wish there was a toggle switch at the top of this forum that a user could just slide to RED when DiamondDope is down...It would save a lot of typing and reading....

..or better yet, an API that would do it automatically.

Lots of new programmers and developers on staff, it could happen.

Dope went down again last night .
It seems like a much more frequent
occurrence .
I contribute regularly and I can’t say
how valuable of a tool this is and how much I
appreciate Adrian’s contribution to SOM

Seems to be down again today - I've grown completely dependent on it: it can answer every question I have in building a team. A remarkable contribution to SOM!

First off, I appreciate everyone who has used Diamond Dope and everyone who has donated. Thank you very much. I am also very sorry for the degradation of the service. It is hard to believe, but DD is now over 20 years old and ran pretty much without interruption for 15 of those years, but the original host was sold in 2019 and the crapification ensued. Now I am being told that the site is too resource intensive and needs to be moved to a private server.

I am asking the host for a quote and as soon as I have more information, I will post an update.

Thanks for the update and the incredible service you have provided to us users for so many years. Hopefully you can keep it going and maybe we all find a way to repay you for your dedication to ATG even though you don't play any more.
