I am reminded of this Monty Python skit - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xe1a1wHxTyo

ATG version - "You all are lucky. My 157 win team lost to the wild card who had all 10 of his pitchers injured and had to resort to starting Bud Weiser in the 7th game of the finals. He no hit me.

I came close to that once. Back in ATG3, Ed Bailey hit 8 HRs against me in the finals.

And it's over. My 99 win team scored 41, the other guy scored 39 and I was bounced in 5 games.

Just checked my 76 completed teams in ATG 7 and came up with the following:

Best record won 22 times or 28.9%
2nd best record won 22 times or 28.9%
3rd best won 19 times or 25% of the time
and Wild Card won 13 times or 17.1%of the time

Granted a small sampling but about what I would expect...
also determined I don't even get a chance to lose to the wild card...be nice to at least be in that position

IN ADDITION TO ABOVE...FOUND THIS TIDBIT ONLINE:

From 1969 to 1994, the playoffs had only two rounds, with the top two teams from each league facing off for a World Series berth. During that time, the team with the best regular season record won the World Series a paltry 28 percent of the time, according to an analysis by SB Nation. To put it another way, of the four playoff teams, the one with the best record won the title barely one-fourth of the time.

Very Interesting

So no live draft, no platoon/DH logic, but the winners of leagues are coded to reflect historical data?

What do you mean no live draft?
I was told that the big box under my Christmas tree was the new and improved Live Draft app.
