Jet's ratings just provide more comprehensive information, for example including fielding (and everything else) in the ratings. Diamond Dope is just about hitting. The whole "interpretation" hypothesis sounds logical but bears little actual relation to Jet's ratings. Both sides provide info, Joe's are just more comprehensive.

Now the other issue. Nev has a huge iobsession with "ownership" of players. This goes back at least to ATG III. I prefer figuring out my own strategies but if I notice something works well for something else, I may well try it myself.

I don't have a problem with my ideas being copied, nor even being given credit for them. People see an idea that works, they use it. I call that progress.

not sure we could ever talk SOM into creating the program, but it would be fun to be able to create a league based on the old IROC racing concept. everyone has the exact same team, in the same park, and we see how it turns out. THAT I would love to do, if we could get a consensus on the roster. did they eliminate autodraft? if they still had it, we could form a league based on an autodraft roster and see who came out with the best record with them...plus it would show the capriciousness of Hal and the dice rolls with the varying results a dozen guys got with the same players....which would also underline why I refuse to play mystery card games.
