Think this is the same response we got when the initial move also turned sour, no?

things went wrong
people got upset and complained
emails stopped being answered
people got more upset and complained more
a few people started getting censored for expressing their outrage
business went on as usual
a few people started complaining to strat about negativity on the boards (notice those people are nowhere and still wont post unless they see one of us posting)

Like Battlestar Galactica- this has all happened before and will happen again.

(the one draft I did actually went pretty well, so haven't experienced the 'madness' personally)

Seriously... I'm not sure what you guys are expecting. Like ALL things SOM does, it's never worked out. They still have bugs since the site moved over, over a year and a half ago!!!

Example? How many times have I hit the arrow in the forums to take me to the latest post and it takes me to some weird random post, not even on the last page? I know it happens to you too...

Weird defense switches.. yea still there.

Customer support fixed... nope, not there either.

Support is worse than it was at TSN, price is cheaper, but not really. At least at TSN when they messed up you were compensated. here they mess up.. to bad deal with it.

You really think these issues with the live draft will go away and get fixed? You're probably also one of those people who think they read the suggestions part of the board too....

Either deal with this sh*t they call an online game, or leave, as Salty has mentioned, no amount of bitching is going to fix anything. The only thing that will is taking your money and not using it here.

Here is what happened, I think. For some reason the Tito team was having problems staying logged onto the draft. He was in and out and showed up just as his turn cam up. Even though Ted Williams was already taken four picks before him, he still showed as available to Tito. He selected Ted and when he did it booted Druid out because he was the one that already picked Ted. Meantime Tito was still getting booted in and out of the draft. Once he finally was able to stay logged in, he noticed he has one less player than everyone else but we were two rounds later by then. Tito told the rest of us what happened to his team all while picks were still happening at about 15-20 seconds per pick. Once we say we had a real problem, Druid paused the draft. 5th round by now and the draft history showed that no pick 15 overall was ever taken. No choice but to go back to pick 14 but then Tito still could not select Musial for some reason and time ran out on him. Druid still getting booted at this point and and when he got logged back in it put him automatically as away. He didn't notice due to the unstable draft and his 4th and 5th round picks we made by Hal. Combine that with everyone changing their pick in the restart after they saw what players were taken in the deleted three rounds as everyone's draft strategy was now exposed. Druid bailed out and let Hal pick his team. Hal picked him 7 starters in the first 12 rounds. That team it looks like will just go on auto pilot upsetting the balance of the league. Due to the chaos it was almost impossible to follow the picks as teams start to develop. SOM needs to do something because that was a mess.

My previous attempted post got deleted just before I hit "submit." Can't say I'm surprised.

Still no credit reparation made to my account. Perhaps blog-boy will address it in his weekly post today. :x

Now that I've calmed down, here's what will happen if my account is not credited for the credit I wasted on their flawed live draft product last night.

1. I will never spend another penny on this company or any of it's products.

2. I will file a claim in Nassau County Small Claims Court to have the financial loss redressed that accrued to me as a result of their defective product.

3. I will send a letter to the Editor of Newsday regarding the filiation of the small claims court suit as well as a comprehensive account of SOM's abysmal customer service record. They have gotten plenty of good (and free) press in the past. I aim to counterbalance that with some truth.

4. I will file regular complaints with the Nassau County Better Business Bureau.

5. I will have my computer geek friend figure out a way to have my litany of complaints come up on google searches whenever SOM is searched by google.

No point in getting mad about this. As RFK so succinctly put it, "I don't get mad, I get even."

My prediction is you get 1 credit for each of those bullet points. Its the least they should do.

Okay, In the Battlestar comparison, I believe the managers would be the survivors on the Galactica in both versions.

I am not sure who the Cylons on in the TSN incarnation. But I can guess who you think are the robots in the new version of Battlestar.

But who is the evil traitor that upgrades to getting it from the hot blonde in the second scenario?

Judges enjoy spending their time settling disputes over $20. Pretty sure anyway.
