Your biggest issue is 5 platoons and 2 RH hitters. Against a LH SP, you will have only Morgan and Turkey who can take advantage of your park.

If it is not too late, suggest you reconsider a more balanced park, otherwise all you will see is LH SP. Also, teams will start the LH and then move to a RH RP. HAL manages platoons poorly, hence your RH hitters will be at a 2nd disadvantage at home vs the RH RP.

Suggest you try to trade for Musial, Charleston or other LH that can play vs LH SPs if you want the stay in Griff 11. Playing in a LH park in high cap leagues means you need 5-6 LH hitters that can be in the lineup vs LH pitchers.

That said, you have some ability to maximize your team here and pitching will be a problem-

SP suggestion #1 - Use Pedro every series - start his 9.28 card series 1 game 1, start his 10.54 card series 2 game 1 and alternate all year. - (cost for the 47 trades prior to the game 141 cutoff will be about 200k in a 5-10-20 league, closer to 400k in a 20% league)...make sure you get the Pedro you want prior to game 142.

Have fun with it!

I thought the game would allow the swapping between cards but still hold to the required rest.

Question about third base. Why not use Matthews' bigger card and platoon him with Brosius/Matt Willams?

Matt Williams got draftedelsewhere, I think you mean Bros/Mathews? I'll look at the other Mathews card again, but it looked similar vs RHP and dead vs lefites at first glance.

What I meant was for you to platoon Matthews with either Brosius or Matt Williams (who I'd prefer if he was available, but apparently he's not). Or just use Matthews most of the time and just spot start Brosius. I wrote that kind of confusing, though.

Hey Dr. Freeze, but why do you feel this is stooping low?
My understanding is that it is entirely legal.
Am I missing something?

To me it's gaming the game. I think it would be un-sportsmen like. My opinion. I would not want to play in a league like that

It doesn't seem more "gaming the game" than using a super reliever strategy to pitch Dale Murray to pitch 200+ innings, but maybe I am in fact missing something. :?

87 wins
Lost division in game 162 to Druid, but got Wild Card.
Won a 7 game semi series.
Lost a 6 game final.

Can't complain about the hitting.
Jeter/Pops Loyd hit .280, can't complain
Gibson and Mathews rocked, I would think as usual?
Morgan/Randolph were OBP machines.
Cash/Galarraga - maybe 39 HRs isn't a lot at 1B at no cap.
Turkey and Edmunds, did well, Edmunds low avg and enough HRs.
Murphy/Torriente good numbers.
Klu/Howard were FA DH pickups, I think OK.

After Pedro, SPs were OK. Nomo faced only all RH lineups, 2 in league, 1 in division.

Pen was a mess as Wagner stunk it up early and often 3-4 runs an outing. Diminished his role and spread the innings out and it worked.......until Wagner came in to allow 4 runs in the bottom of the 9th of game 6.

Post mortem thoughts?
Thanks.

87 wins was a good first time in a live draft. But you will come to learn pedro is a waste of money unless you got him with a 8th or 9th pick. But thats just my opinion. 10mil pitchers are a waste in a 12 team 200mil league as you must draft them too early for their worth.

Scott

Just to prove a point i drafted my first pitcher in round 13 and it was jack chesbro. Im the cheetahs:
