Good replies, all. As you folks have stuck around perhaps you have an idea on how best to recreate a, for instance, ATG III or IV experience. I'll keep clicking around both in terms of DDing the humongo set and figuring out how to best reduce it to a more satisfying morsel. Any further ideas on such are most, most welcome.

Meanwhile, might we tentatively agree to set our phasers on "stun" with a slightly after Labor Day kick-off date?

Three ideas(I am sure there are many better ideas out there) to start the ball rolling:

One thought was to pick a season say 1969 or whatever and then allow any player who played in that season to be used (any card regardless of the season so Hank Aaron played in 1969 so you could use any of his cards). Don't think we would have enough players though so maybe pick 2 seasons and then using the same criteria have 6 use the player pool for one season and 6 use the player pool for the other season........for example 1939 and 1969......or whatever trying to not have overlaps, having relatively equal player pools though uneven pools could probably be balanced by an 80 mill salary cap. Just an out there idea.

Alternatively you could expand to a decade and use one pool.

Take the list of players from ATG I(if available anywhere) and limit to those players?
