The concept of super-reliever simply refers to the fact that SOM allows relivers to be used extensively. The way the program is set up in SOM on-line, a R1 can easily pitch over 150 innings of mostly fresh innings, a R2 over 220 innings, a R3 over 280 innings. I would say Sutter was used moderately in this team.

With R4 or R5 like Murray, I've even seen seasons over 400 innings.

If your starting out, learn 1 ball park first. There are tons of ways to build a team. I treat it like real baseball. Strong up the middle. C, SS, 2B, CF. I keep them good defensively.RF I like an arm, LF I don't care. 1b I like power. 3b I don't care. Know where the guy you pick fits in the line up. A .300 Hitter with a low OBP males a good 7 hitter for me. Don't have more than 2 poor hitters in your lineup. Don't use players more than 3L or 3R unless you use a L or R specialist. Above all else TRIM THE FAT! Do not have expensive subs. Starting out don't get fancy with platoons, non * SPs. Keep it simple until you win consistantly in that one park. DON'T DON'T DON'T tinker with the team after the season starts. You don't know the payer pool well enough and you need to learn from your mistakes. Many times I've seen players struggle the first half of the season and then light it up 2nd half. I just ad Frank Robinson go .247 at half and end up 300+. Pitchers go 0-5 and end up 20 -6. Let things play out. Another thing I don't worry about too much is making a super duper home team. I am generally just as good away as at home. Like I say I do things different and there are a million ways to do it.
