Some teams don't have enough listed players to draft (like 14 hitters). I assume I can just put down one guy not listed and then drop him after the draft. But the Red Sox only have 23 players listed. Don't you need to have 24 total for lineup restrictions? Or is that a rule in some leagues but not ATG?

Yes, you can use a 25th for autodraft purposes.
I made some changes when I was putting up teams. I'll check on Red Sox, maybe I left somebody off.
