All things being equal ... 1 in 2 x 1 in 2 x 1 in 2 ... 33 times. Of course home field, quality of team, quality of opponent all factor in.

So if you assume his is a great team, maybe it's ... 2 in 3 X 2 in 3 X 2 in 3 ... 33 times. Anyway you slice it it's amazing.

If my logic and math is correct, it would be about 1 in 647,000 ......

I see it ended at 33 games. Best I've ever seen. Simply amazing.

Sadly, it is probably the precursor to a 1st round playoff exit ... At least it would be if it were my team.

It was indeed a fun and interesting streak. Hard to fathom that it basically lasted for 20% of a season.

The streak came to an end at 33 games. After winning the first two games of a series, Jeff Bagwell represented the potential tying run during a rally in the bottom of the 9th - only to fly out.

Looking ahead to the playoffs - the likely opponent is a worthy competitor who has been a thorn to some prior playoff teams. Will keep you posted.
