Thank you mighty moose for all your efforts and sadly the Barnstormer's Tour will conclude if nobody steps in. Once again SOM customer service fails to provide even the simplest of tasks given that the player's concerns only goal is to improve the game. I think you said it best.. "the game just isn't fun anymore" which takes away the motivation to play. I used to play 4-5 teams at a time in regular leagues (which is minor to some players), and write Garcia's Blog which isn't fun anymore either. (I do have the habit of expressing lower than desired opinions of the assessments and qualities of others and am blunt about it. Just ask my 3 divorced wives).

Maybe a couple phone calls to Glen Head instead on e-mails will help. 516-671-6566. Mob rule. GRRRR...

Thanks again mighty moose for past devotion.
Sincerely,
Delivery Boy....

Your efforts have been tremendous , year in and year out you have brought the community a tournament that we all looked forward to and it became more than that to most of us. A celebration of sorts that paralleled the baseball season and gave us all a chance to win a ring in our fields of dreams. It will be missed but as you exit the stage a heart felt thankyou for what you did. Adios

Thanks Moose for taking the time to organize and run this Tournament. If this is it for the tourney, it would definitely be a loss to the community and to Strat On-Line in general. Hoping someone steps up to continue, but if not, its been a great ride!

Mighty Moose, I just finished third year of playing. Joined the tournament last year for first time. Due to your efforts that
tournament gave me the most enjoyment during the three years. Wanted to thank you.

Well MM, we have certainly had our ups and downs these many years. That said, your service to the community here has been yeoman-like, and I thank you for it. I would have walked away a long time ago if I were you. Let SOM reap the consequences of how they have treated you and the community, their business model continues to mystify me and their epic non-responsiveness speaks to their immense hubris and monstrous disrespect for their customers. I'll miss the tour, I have enjoyed it a great deal the last two years.

Too bad you notified SOM that you won't be running the BS tour any more. Poetic justice would have been served if you hadn't communicated with them at all about your plans! Wonder if they will even notice the 15K hit they are taking by there not being a tour. :D

Sorry to hear this MM. After playing SOM for a number of years, About a year ago, I decided to step aside for many of the reasons that you, and others have touched upon. While playing, I participated, and so thoroughly enjoyed the BS tour. It really was what kept me coming back.

As Bruce stated, poetic justice would have been served if you hadn't communicated to them about your plans!

I have recently again began playing in a few leagues, BUT, will so much miss the BS tour. Wish it wasn't so, but, totally understand.

Thanks for all you did.

Doug
