Opening day Mauer injured 15 games ! Ouch !

Game 56 Mauer injured for an additional 15 games ! Double ouch !

Game 100 Mauer once again injured for 3 more games ! Manageable !

Game 119 Mauer injured again for 15 more games !!!! No choice but to release him.

In total Mauer missed 48 games out of 119 all because he was one AB short of 600 . What are the odds ????

INSANE !!!!!!!

Mauer games played by year ACTUAL BASEBALL

2004 35
2005 131
2006 140
2007 109
2008 146
2009 138
2010 137
2011 82
2012 147
2013 113
2014 120
2015 158
2016 134
2017 141
2018 127

Mauer actually missed 24 games in 2009, which his card is trying to emulate but over career averaged all of 123 games missing 39 games per year on average. Of course ATG has the one card that is 200 OPS points over the career OPS average and not indicative at all of what Joe Mauer was (singles and doubles hitter). I would agree to a system that stops usage at 138 games and injuries at 24 but must be random, so that if he hasn't been injured by game 138 you'd know to drop him cause he ain't playing no more, or one would have to rest him throughout the season.

As a Cubs fan I'd still take Mauer over Mark Prior any time. Damned cheapskate Twins couldn't afford the "best" player so they took the most signable one.
