Engine is making substitutions without my permission

HAL keeps moving my defensive players around without any instructions to do so. Example:

My lineup has :
Ott in CF 2 -2 e8
Kennedy in LF 2 0 e4
Thompson at 3b 2 e 29

In SOME games, at various times, HAL realigns to:

Ott in RF 2 -2 e8
Kennedy at 3b 3 e30
Thompson in CF 1 -3 e16

Pretty sure I just got weaker at every position.

Quick question and it may have already been asked/answered ... Do you have the box checked on the hitter preferences page to remove Foxx for a defensive sub?

A lot of people do that and it's a huge mistake because HAL does all kinds of crazy stuff if you check that box.
