I agree with the Last Druid's comments.

I just joined a league where no players more expensive than $6m is allowed. I imagine were going to see a lot of bullpen use there. Not a bad idea--and I think I personally will like leagues with restrictions more than going to $150-$200m (where I obviously have no clue what I am doing).

I seem to do better in the neanderthal high-cap leagues where's it's all about mashing. Cave woman like man with big stick...

Indeed... I resemble that last remark...

I too have had it with the bullpen. I have no idea why HAL does the things he does, he ignores my settings, he leaves pitchers in at F0 until there are 2 outs in the 9th when he finally wakes up to replace them, and just makes a mess of everything.

I agree that four high priced *starters are the way to go, but I find that sooooo boring. I used to look forward to setting up my teams for each individual series. I had an array of bullpen guys with different strengths that I could change roles depending on who I was playing. Now...no idea whats gonna happen.

Basically now I am playing tourneys and a couple of teams. The bullpen changes in ATG9 have largely driven away my interest in the game, so while maybe the set your team and ignore it method brings in a few new players, they have driven away another experienced player.
