The chance of hitting a (P)X is actually 2 chances out of 216, less than 1%. A starter throwing 300 IP would face approximately 1,300 batters per season. That suggests a (P)X will be hit 12 times per season on average. This can be double-checked on the X Tot column on the Sim Fielding page.
