ATG9 Theme League: League created!

I have 75-76 so many of my guys have 3 and 4 cards to choose from, will make the Autodraft very interesting.

What does this mean? You can only use a card from 1975 or 1976. How can any player have 3 or 4 cards to choose from?

I mean that I will be fighting for almost everyone as all the stars and good cards for 75/76 have like 3 or more cards so 3 or 4 owners could all put them on their Autodraft card.

In LMBombers defense, there is dearth of cheap bench players in the 1990s cards (more so in the latter part of the decade).

Do you think my suggestion earlier has merit, 1 .65m or under SP and one .65m or under hitter to aid benches?

I just created a 96-97 team that fits the cap and is AD compliant and is $4 million under the cap. So i think it can work.

Yes, I agree but what happens when I lose several of those guys (or even just a couple) in the AD. There is nothing else to fall back on to use.

At this point, I feel like I'm herding cats. I don't like the idea of many of the tiny suggestions designed to make fielding a roster easier, because they mainly defeat the purpose of the league. The only change that might work is an $100m cap, but I wouldn't be comfortable changing that unless everyone was on board.

In LMBombers case, the problem is that if he loses ANY of his pitchers in the Autodraft then he has no way to field a team. He'd have to get every one including 6 that others could put down. If any of those 6 get taken he has no one else to put in that gets him under the cap.

I'm sure some of those 6 are vital to the 98-99 team or the 94-95 team as well.

that's why I think we should do some sort of relief for that eventuality.

I'm telling you, you CAN make this work. It might not be your dream team, and it might force you into a different managerial philosophy, but you CAN put together a team. I see a couple of managers have pulled the rip cord and are looking for new managers, so spread the word. If someone is really unhappy and can't find a partner, I will trade years with them as a last resort.

OK, I just peeked, and LMBombers are in tough. That is a weak mix. Happy to trade teams with you; I'll try to make it work.
