Gehringer's new card is interesting. i wanted to like it and it certainly is more playable than than 9.5 one. Its kind of reminiscent of the 1(-3) Delahanty. This could be both an endorsement and inditement as the gold glove Delahanty used to be a real winner with good skills though its bat is underwhelming for the obscene amount of money it goes for. Will Gehringer hit enough? Or will his 'athletic-face' and durability make him a richer Frankie Frisch? I fear not, as ATG is a game of underpriced destructinators like G. Brown and NewWagner or at least guys that hit above their price. Still, theres certainly a place for cards like 1e4 Omar, P. Rodriguez, Tulo, and Robbie Cano. Is Genringer good enough to join? (better grouping would be Frisch, Delahanty, Biggio, A-Rod as in guys who "win?" with seemingly sub par BR and stuff)
The real movers and shakers to me are the pitchers: Verlander and Koufax. Koufax prob not enough but Verlander is SOOOOOOO good in a pitching league.
Thoughts on Verlander? I haven't done the DIY yet and am almost skeptical of his dope and that minuscule OBP....
