I have not lost interest. Just not enough time to play the number of leagues I want to.

There is a bell curve of talk, which has apparently shifted over time.

Given where things are now, I tend to chat more in leagues than others. Why the heck not?

I'm still into it, despite the decline by SOM management, Garcia's ineptitude, the boards' idleness. I won't let incompetence drive me away. 8-)

I have a slightly different twist on what Hack just said. I do as I wish and strive to not allow other people's unwanted behavior to exert undue influence on my own actions. In this case, I enjoy the game and that is my main focus and so I play it. However, my professional retirement is imminent, so I will probably have to cut back some on the number of teams I run at a time here. On the other hand, I also choose not to remain silent in the face of incompetence, indifference and perhaps outright malfeasance - all defining characteristics of SOM and it's public face, John Garcia.

I'm all for not remaining silent in the face of incompetence, and applaud all who speak up to SOM. I have done so on occasions in emails to them (which got nothing much done). Well, the thing that draws me back is the genius of the cards, analyzing them, and building a team. Hal did get the card thing right, if not his company and customer service etc. So, I won't let them take the cards and game away from me -- despite their buffoonery.
