They left the victims to deal with the headaches, stress, anxiety etc.
As I said many times before I love the game but now I don't like or trust the company. I have some unused team credit that may never be used now.
I will give OOTP a look.
I'm not sure what else they were supposed to do. They emailed me right away and while I did have to get a new bank card, it didn't cost me anything but a bit of inconvenience. This has happened to me a couple of other times and had nothing to do with Strat.
Now a couple of free credits would be a nice salve...
Bill I think people are upset bc
1) SoM did not email everyone right away. Many of us found out through league mail a few days prior, specifically bc they only emailed SOME folks.
2) many suspect that the dates provided by SoM are not accurate and that the breach happened perhaps weeks to months prior to their discovery of it-- and what they claim the dates to be.
3) Yes, some sort of something that shows any sort of real contrition or caring that they are responsible would probably be at least something.
4) tangentially related- a number of managers who bought an entire 6 or 12 team league found out after the fact that there are zero playoff credits awarded for those leagues. Given that at least four managers had no idea that was the case, you'd think a good company might fix that - managers who spent a bunch of money on this product- but similarly as you might expect, they only replied with the typical 'caveat emptor' style they are so famous for.
