Who’s the greatest……

That's a privilege of being old. Remember seeing Williams often on Saturday MLB game of the week. Often with Dizzy Dean doing the broadcast. IMHO Williams was the best hitter I have ever seen.

Hit over.400 with power in the modern era? Yeah I think I'd have to agree.

I never saw Williams play, but .482 lifetime OBP? And 521 homers after missing 3 full seasons and most of 2 others due to military service? No argument here.

Ted Williams-- best hitter of all time. Yes.

Willie Mays -- best all-around player of all time. Yes.

I'd love to include Ruth on these yardsticks, due to no fault of his own, didn't play in an integrated MLB with non-white competition. Williams did in part, not totally, let's present that fact.
