im having a devil of a time finding our draft matrix for twelve seasons...does anyone have a link to a rotation grid for once the first season's 1-12 order is established, what order you pick in subsuqent seasons?

Just randomize the first season. In following seasons, move #1 to #12, and move everyone else up one notch.

Roll a six sided dice to see which 12 numbers you will use for the first league:

1. 3, 5, 6, 8, 12, 11, 1, 10, 2, 4, 9, 7

1-alphabetical by first name
2-alphabetical by last name
3-order of sign-up
4-reverse order of sign-up
5. evens. get first six numbers, odds get last six numbers
6. odds get first six numbers. odds get last six numbers

got the randomizer, it will be by signup order.

just shifting 1 to 12 and everyone up a notch works...but in past leagues, we had a matrix where you jumped around season to season so you were never spending too many seasons in a row at either end of the draft order. got to find that somewhere. hate to be team 12 and have to wait eleven more seasons to go first. obviously someone has to go first in twelfth and final season, but in our old matrix, you'd get a season drafting 2nd and 7th and 4th and 12th inbetween.

So we run a randomizer for the First League, and then you keep your team number for the subsequent drafts.

I think the ones are better when you aren't following the same order every time. That way you aren't drafting behind the same manager for 11 seasons. Everyone has their favorites.

For example, if the guy behind me had any illusions that he's going to be playing with Sherry Magee he'd be SOL.

Looking at it, I'd have to agree with motherscratcher. The order should be reasonably random within the 12 team structure, rather than a set sequence where you are following the same guys except for the time you pick first.

the alternate pick list above seems to be the best at it, though I did notice one or two sequences where the same two teams picked in the same order.

thanks BD...THAT'S what Im talkin' about. the top list is much more random and has guys picking in front of and behind other managers throughout, and spreads high and low draft order per team nicely.

reminder...1 thru 12 is set by order of sign up...this is what I'll feed into randomizer.
