Perpetually offended snowflakes? " Nig" literally is short for N!GGER!... So if you are fine with that word, you can call me a snowflake (although good luck saying to my face) and I will call you a BIGOT.

You are the only one who equate Nig with a racial slur. I suppose Ni and N are also the same. This thread is insane. We are playing a dice/computer game. Please GTFO out of here. All of you "Snowflakes" and Karens.

Nice try, but even Droid admits, ( as every baseball historian knows) that NIG is short for N1GG5R... AND IT REALLY TRIGGERS YOU THAT SOMEONE WOULD EVEN CONSIDER CHANGING IT.

I know change terrifies you, and equality looks like victim hood... It's okay, the world is filled with people like you.

You are calling me a snowflake anonymously from a keyboard thousands of miles away.... I get it guy... Names don't bother you because you are tough and above it all.

So I am sure it wouldn't bother you at all if someone called your wife or daughter a fat ugly "B-word".

Thanks for letting everyone know exactly who you are and what you believe, ..........anonymously.

Stay classy STRAT-O-MATIC! Stay classy...

Droid, I would love for you to clarify what you think these words and phrases mean. If you are able to do that... I won't hold my breath....

Look I know we are a polarized society. And I know many older fellas are terrified of change and want everything to stay exactly as it was in the 1950s... Or in this case the 1920s...
And I understand after growing up in the 1950s , equality can feel like victimhood to many of you.

But never did I think the mere suggestion of not calling guys "NIG" anymore would be the least bit controversial.

SOM and society should not change because psychos are offended by the harmless Nig or Let's Go Brandon.

The OP of this thread has never been known to have a motivation to inspire competition or interest--it is basically clickbait which is why he has been given warnings in the past and why I just have his posts blocked. From the looks of the carnage here, he has succeeded yet again at remaining true to form. This is an online computer game. But alas...

All history is valuable, and all context is necessary. Whether factually ugly or not, the derisive and abhorrent language and behavior of humanity--which is a slight bit broader than a SOM card--is always important to keep in our consciousness. Otherwise, we have no benchmark for where we've been and where we are pointed toward.

"Bad" speech is always combated most effectively with countervailing "good" speech, not by removing it from the consciousness.

This is a diverse group in some ways. There are ex-convicts, folks who have been arrested, lawyers, doctors, accountants, cops, psychologists, authors, network engineers, executives, CEOs, bricklayers, publicists, factory techs, on and on.

I'd say the best response to this thread is to humanize it first. Take a look at this--it is much more appealing to the soul.

And those who are absent from that dialogue--are notably absent. Whether they prefer less human avatar-like faux interaction is for the reader to determine, maybe by comparing these two threads. Dunno.
