Charles,

This is a very bad decision, especially without consulting with the rest of the league. Where is the time for the draft clock posted? I've been under the impression that there is no clock for this draft, and that is a general approach for ILC live drafts in the first round -- no clock.

Here's the option I'll give you -- give tallguy my team, and restart the draft at Falcon29's spot. I'm out of this league. You're going to have find someone to replace me, unless you give Falcon29 back his spot, and restart the draft from his position.

Charles,

I have to agree with the above. I've been in about 2/3 of these MLB leagues and they have always been marked by fairness and communication. To boot someone out that been away less than a day, especially on a Saturday when a lot of folks are out doing things doesn't seem right. There was no clock listed in the rules. Replacing him w/o discussion actually had the opposite because the draft has been stalled ever since. We would be done and mostly loaded if you hadn't done it. I haven't decided if I will continue in this league if FALCON isn't given the franchise back, but I can't imagine joining another one if he isn't. Charles, please reconsider. In all the other leagues you have made fair decisions. I just don't get this.

I simply responded to a message from the commissioner for a replacement manager. I don't hijack my way into leagues. I have been in the previous four iterations of this leagues and would have signed up for this one originally had I not been travelling most of last week, away from internet access.

I will gladly stay in this league. Or I will gladly remove my team from this league, depending on the wishes of the commissioner.

I think we're all reasonable here and I think this can be resolved without any major issues.

I think we should add a time element/draft clock into the rules moving forward - or if you sign up but know you will be offline for a while, let someone know.

We should consider either a league vote or adding falcon back in at his original spot and then consider dharmabums offer to resign and replace with tallguy. there are plenty of iterations of this league so tallguy can also just come back for the next one.

I'll be more than happy to comply with any option that is chosen.

BudaBear78,

If Falcon29 wants to play he can manage my Franchise #4, that was one of the three remaining
and it will create less changing for everyone in league.

I will sit this one out....If BudaBear78 will accept he can act as commissioner for MLB24.

Falcon29 has until Sunday night 6:00 PM Eastern to accept Franchise #4, if he chooses to decline we will proceed with current list of teams and managers. Anyone that knows Falcon29 please contact him and ask the question if he wants to play and I will step aside, I believe that's a fair resolution with the least amount of changes.

We can continue to load with Central Division clubs and if he accepts I will simply exit and allow Falcon29 to enter.

Thanks,
Charles

Kevin, my original post was not meant to accuse you, I only said that it *looked* like you hijakced the team because there wasn't any evidence to the contrary, but I also said I'm sure that couldn't be the case. I've been in many leagues with you and I know that isn't your style. Charles has always been really good about communicating so without any notice from him, it just looked really weird and it obviously confused a lot of people. I apologize if it looked like I was accusing you. As I said in the OP, I was sure it couldn't be the case.

I'd be happy to serve as interim commish for the single season if thats a resolution amenable to all.

Hopefully that keeps falcon, tallguy, dharma and gamamian all content to put the issue to bed.

falcon, etc - let me know if that works with you guys. i think franchise 4 is what you wanted right?

OK, so I'll keep working on putting a Giants/DBacks/Rockies team together to enter into the Western division. But I'll hold off entering it until it's clear everyone has signed off on the same solution.
