1. Ballparks are not evenly distributed across these year ranges. Do we get a +- number of years from which we can choose our ballpark?
2. For players like Mantle, who has cards in multiple year ranges (in Mantle's case, four). All four managers can compete for him, but, you can only draft and use the year you own?
3. Trades are allowed?
4. These isn't really any conventional free agency apart from competing for players who have multiple, eligible cards?
What am I leaving out?
1. Pick whatever ballpark you like.
2. Only one iteration of a player can exist in the league. Who gets that player is dependent on draft order and rankings, just like any other Strat draft.
3. If you can figure out a way to make trades that work, go for it, so long as you start and play the full season with only players carded in your year set.
4. Correct, other than the instances of a few managers fighting over a few players, most of your shallow player pool will be easy to adjust in free agency, at least from the standpoint of having less competition for the cards. Theoretically.
5. You didn't ask this, but when we have 24 players, managers are given years, and I set up the league, be sure to set up your draft cards in the standard ATG9 set.
