I think you need to read more carefully.

I already wrote multiple letters of this nature.

No, I don't, because I never said you didn't write multiple letters. If you actually think SOM, not we community members, are the ones who make changes and will actually do so, then you should write another letter.
Secondly, no, your letter was not addressed either in the literal or figuartive sense to the people that both make and enforce forum policy.

I never said it was addressed to those people, either literally or figuratively. I addressed it to the SOM community, and I have always claimed I did so.

Everyone can read what you wrote and figure out its meaning without you saying 10 times what you never said.

Plausible deniability and parsing out words is for politicians and lawyers.

Yes they can, and if they read correctly, they would see everything I said above was correct...while you clearly can't actually show I was wrong...so try again.

And plausible deniability--I have no idea how that applies--and "parsing out words"--which I didn't do--is for "politicians and lawyers." However, I'm an English professor and a good one. So, what I do, what I did above, and what I did throughout this debate is cogently conceive my arguments and articulately communicate them to the forum, while accurately and incisively pointing out errors and contradictions in my "opposing" posters' (such as you) posts.

P.s. This is now the second time you have continued to participate in this debate you earlier deemed "a waste of time." So, you were either lying when you said that, or--for some reason--you actually enjoy participating in activities you consider wastes of time.

Thank you for proving my point.

It was quite clear to me that you purposefully were obfuscating your answers so you could argue either side you pleased while denying you had taken a position on either.

Again, when you have to repeatedly use the phrase "I never said", perhaps you are not being quite as clear as one would hope.

Also, I assume you are from England rather than someone who teaches English to others.

That's three times now, Salty, you must really love "wastes of time."

And no, I didn't prove any point of yours, Salty...not even you can prove your flimsy points...although you keep proving you can't actually address any of my points or support yours. If I was purposely "obfuscating my answers," then show me where I did so in any of my posts, we both know you can't.

And I accurately repeated the phrase "I never said" with you because you keep lying about or misrepresenting what I said...so I was merely stating the truth. If I was ever wrong when I used the phrase, then be a grownup and show me where I did so, instead of just taking jabs at me because my posts continually revealed your errors.

I look forward to actually debating you on this, Salty. But if you're just going to keep making adolescent, unsupported stabs at me without doing so, I'll just let you waste your time on your own.

P.s. Was that England comment an insult?...I have no idea what it means.

What I see as very unnecessary was you prying out of us what we said happened, the censorship of posts that were not profane. You said you believe us but at the same time said you have not seen such cases so you want examples. Seems that you did not in fact believe us. You asked Nev three times for examples unnecessarily. You forced us to rehash the very worst of times. If you were around, you would have been part of it. Of course it happened because you see the result, dwindling community.
It happened, it's over, thought we grew past that a long time ago. That explains why the forum is just about dead. People grew afraid to post and the spirited discussions disappeared. People used to spend hours on the forum and then go create a team. Without the interesting forum, people are doing other things now and creating teams is not one of them.
You had some good points about how to start turning things around so please stick to that. We really do not want you to pry out of us such negative details that we had hoped were a thing of the past.

EXACTLY!
and when we do provide details, which Ive said are out of context then it becomes a matter of debating their legitimacy.

BTW- whats the difference between an English Professor and a Professor of English?

I just think you are more interested in winning a debate than actually doing something- if Im wrong then show me.

I never "pried" about anything. I sincerely said I had never seen such a post as was mentioned and asked for an example for my own edification. Nev in turn asked for me to give an example of what I had said I had seen, and I did so with great detail, and then asked him to return the courtesy.
You asked Nev three times for examples unnecessarily
.
No, I didn't. After I answered Nev's question, he said he would answer my question In return...which was a reasonable expectation. The only reason I necessarily asked Nev three times to answer was because he kept failing to do so, whether by omission or because of intent. If he had simply answered the question he said he would answer, I wouldn't have had to say anything.
You forced us to rehash the very worst of times. If you were around, you would have been part of it. Of course it happened because you see the result, dwindling community.
I never did any such thing. I never forced, or even asked, any of you--besides Nev--specifically to share about what happened. In fact, It wasn't my particular concern. I wanted to discuss what we could do to improve the forum for the future, you guys kept obsessing on the past.
You had some good points about how to start turning things around so please stick to that. We really do not want you to pry out of us such negative details that we had hoped were a thing of the past.

Thank you for the acknowledgment, but as I said above, I never "pried" into the negative details about your past, I don't greatly care about what happened in the past, and I would be particularly happy if we never talk about it again. And if talking about the past is so painful to you, I sincerely advise you to avoid doing so with anyone...including your ATG colleagues.

Yes, of course you are right-
this was my fault entirely for not being clear about the issue, you bear no responsibility what-so-ever for my adolescent digression into things the thread did not ask.
