Alright, I'm in the league, probably only gonna get 45% of my picks and waivers is truly gonna suck, but I've put my draft list on the table for better but probably for worse. Ante up all the rest of you guys. :D ;) 8-)

I'm interested in this league. You guys are very close to having this thing worked out, but it does look like a few managers could get squeezed, IMHO. So we've got to loosen things up just enough to make some wiggle room for managers to be able to make up slack after waivers.

Here's where we are now:

$120M league with DH
4 SPs must all be $8M or greater. If 5 Man rotation than 3 SPs must be greater than $8M and remaining SP's in rotation must be greater than $5m.
All OF must have range of 3 or 4 only. No one with a 1 or 2 on their card is legal.
Defensive arm of all OF (starting and bench) must be 0 or worse
Defensive range of 4 starting IFs and C must total 17 or greater <- Just to keep it interesting
Catcher's arm must be +1 or worse
No backup player may have a 1 or 2 range at any position on their card.

No changes needed to the pitching requirements. We already have no 1 rated fielders, period. That's good. The 17 defense total for the IF (including C) works. Where we are short of decent selections as it stands now is in the OF (especially CF and RF) and at C. We need to get in a few more choices here. We can solve some of the problem of "having too much defense" by limiting ALL backups, IF, C, and OF, to be 4's or 5's at ALL positions. The 9 defense total for the OF is also good, but I suggest we allow a 2,3,4 alignment there. The other change is to allow ONE outfield arm to be a minus arm. The pickings in RF, and to some degree in CF, are too shallow. In RF there are just so few decent players with a zero or worse arm. So I say, allow ONE of the OF arms to be a minus arm. The other hangup shouldn't be one. I say let someone have Musial in CF as a 3. Ah, but if you've got a 2 in left, a 3 in center (Musial) and a 4 in right, what if HAL decides to move Musial to right as a 2 and replace him with a 4 in CF. You're out of alignment (8 defense in the OF)!!!!! I say whoop-t-do. If I'm batting and you're gonna tell me you're putting a scrubeenie 4 in CF, I'd take that in a heartbeat, even if you go from a 4 to a 2 in RF. At catcher, same thing. The choices of decent hitters with a +1 arm are too few. You actually add quite a few decent bats by allowing a zero for an arm at catcher.

If these suggested changes can be agreed to, I'd be in.

Is a player that is 3 rated with a minus arm in the outfield eligible to play in the infield where he is a 4?

Based on the rules as stated - not sure! When I played "Iron Gloves" several years ago as long as the starting lineup was a four was what worked - so Babe Ruth was eligible as long as he didn't play OF - Frank Robinson was OK as long as he started at 3B. Arms weren't considered -

After rereading the rules after dinsdale's post, I have to agree I'm not sure either. If that's the case, then I need to re-do my draft list.

I have to think this falls into the "too tough to monitor and who knows what HAL is going to do on his own" category, so I say no.

Others feel the same?

I submitted a team and must admit that we will all probably be trying to get a lot of the same players.

So if a -arm outfielder can't play in the infield because we don't know what Hal will do, does this mean a guy like Jimmie Foxx can't play 3rd, he is a 3 at first and Hal might move him from 3rd base where he is a 4. Because the draft is key I just want to be clear on the rules.
