In-game mail system: Sent Items status

We cannot reply to announcements so starting a thread on this.

I realize not allowing replies to announcements keeps people from having an opportunity to complain. But it also keeps people from saying thank you. If I interpret this anouncement correctly then a thank you is in line.

Has anyone with active teams tried this since the announcement? Are we now in fact able to see whether a trade offer or other mail messages has been read, deleted, accepted or rejected? Or did I misinterpret the announcement?

I see now in your sent mail, there is a column way to the right that shows read or unread. Sent an offer, saw that it said unread and rescinded(now says invalidated). Also saw some previous e-mails sent that show as read.
