I'm apt to agree with you.

Every time I get what I think is a good starting pitching staff, they get smoked and I've got a punch & judy lineup trying to catch up.

Well, he just watched as the last one, the home run, sailed way, way, way, (way) over his head.

I truly think they're worth it. Ive seen more SUPER SP teams win now then really....ever. Maybe ATG2 but those "super-staffs" had a different style (less total money by alot). Pitching and small-ball was effective but that was the case in a lot simpler game. Certain cards: Meusel, Chance, Bush, to name a few were crazy underpriced. Now those cards are all significantly more money so small-ball has that going against it.

Small-ball still wins.

Super starting pitching seems like a potent style to me.

Problem is, most people feel the exact same way about spending money on sluggers. They like it. Too much.

Certain leagues, ERA's ballon well beyond 5 and im not even talking about 140mil+.

Self-fufilling prophecy guys. True, it doesn't help the cause that we now have about 100 guys that can hit 40+, most of whom have gotten "tax cuts" in recent years plus we're now exposed to these stupid radioactive Fanta-sim cards.

Just say no!
Go with pitching guys. ;)

Thanks, I appreciate it. I just really want people to shift the meta-game back into semi-reality...

I'm seeing a lot more small ball teams do well compared to when I started here...three, four years ago.
