injury question

If a player goes down for long injury time, can you swap him out for another year without the long injury risk?

I have the 9.55 Cobb and he just went down for a spell. I was tempted to swap him for the 9.36 Cobb, but wasn't sure whether the injury would carry over.

Anyone know this?

Injury will not carry over.

Excellent! That's now in my contingency plans, got a few injury guys on the team (Delahanty, Vaughan, Carew, Cobb)

That strategy works best in the live draft leagues, where you don't get the salary penalty for dropping players. You might be losing 20% of the salary each time you do the swap, which you figure would be twice since you want to get back the $9.55 Cobb after waiting out the games.

you might want to check with the other managers in your league to see if they are okay with it. many view this as cheating.

I'm one of those who consider it unethical, if not outright cheating. It certainly violates the spirit of the game as well as making a mockery of reality. If I were in your league, I'd certainly object.

Not planning on cheating, if I did it, I'd stay with the new card. However, I rode out the injury and actually took 2-3 from each series he was out, putting me back in the hunt. Plus, I wouldn't do it with a 20% hit, we're early and in a 5% hit period.

Of course, now Carew went down with a 15 gamer last night.

By my math, the odds on two 15 gamers aren't very good. I'm fully prepared to get injuries, and with the sub 600 guys I'm prepared to accept longer injuries, but I don't expect the 10 or 15 gamer. My luck isn't that good when a dice roll is in my favor, why should I keep rolling it when it's against me? Ugh!
