RIP Eddie Yost

Just saw a short note on the Internet that the "Walking Man" passed away at age 86 today. I'm sure there will be a better obit on him tomorrow. But, when I was growing up in Washington, he was one of my first baseball heroes. Sigh...

At only 5'10 and 170 lbs, Eddie collected more walks than Ted Williams in the 50's, (1185 to 845). He must faced Rancher pitching more often and only had a lifetime BA of .254. If he had Rickey Henderson's legs, the Senators would have won alot more games.... RIP EDDIE!!!

Growing up as a Tigers fan Eddie was the first third sacker I remember the Tigers having.RIP ED
