I set up "When It Was A Game" . . . pre-WWII - 140 million - 5/10/20 - no DH. It's filling up very slowly so, to generate interest, I want to list some reasons why this is a great format.

1. It's the Negro League players' real era. Having them in the post-WWII leagues is a historical non-sequiter.

2. No juiced players. Just a few Fantasim cards like Nap and Dickey.

3. Not too many HR hitters, so more diverse teams and ballparks.

4. Not enough great closers to go around -- building your bullpen will take some skill and creativity.

5. The nicknames in those days were way better than now -- Babe, Goose, Dizzy, Daffy, Hooks, Ducky, Cookie, Rube, etc.

Finally, there is great goodness in nostalgia and remembering the old-timers. So join now !!!
