Sunday, October 2, 1955. Game 5 of the 1955 World Series. The Dodgers lead 3-0 behind home runs from Duke Snider and Sandy Amoros. That is a Yogi Berra drive bouncing off the right section of the scoreboard. Carl Furillo will field the ball and hold Berra to a long single. Snider is backing up the play. Roger Craig would go on to win the game for the Dodgers by a score of 5-3.

The right field scoreboard again. Carl Furillo making a great catch against the wall, robbing the hitter of an extra-base hit, and possibly a suit as well. It’s September 30, 1956, the final game of the season. The Dodgers lead the second-place Braves by just one game and need a victory here or a Milwaukee loss in St. Louis to clinch the National League pennant. As it turns out, the Braves will defeat the Cardinals 4-2, so Carl Furillo’s spectacular seventh-inning catch of a drive off the bat of Pirate Dick Groat proves quite important. Even though the Dodgers led 7-2 at the time, Brooklyn had to fend off a Pittsburgh rally before eventually winning 8-6.
