i am modeling this team off of a successful model i saw recently in another league i am currently in and want to give it a shot. my new team starting tomorrow is:

http://onlinegames.strat-o-matic.com/team/811803

the team i saw that i used as a road map because the league make up is similar is:

http://onlinegames.strat-o-matic.com/team/811537

i am thinking of batting them in this order:

8:w.mcgee
4:j.morgan
6:a.vaughan
7:b:ruth
9:c.smith
3:j.bottomley
2:m.may
5:t.wallach

because i though the defense and bullpen would be better than:

8:w.mcgee
4:j.morgan
6:a.vaughan
7:b.ruth
3:l.gerhig
9:s.thompson
2:m.may
5:t.wallach

with behrman instead of brandom and frock instead of jones in the rotation.

the runs come out about even and the def is better with the current line-up. suggestions or ideas are welcomed...

My thoughts:
I like a lot of the players, but feel you are spending too much on your bullpen. Tim Wallach is not a good fit in any park and Chino Smith I am not sure is worth the money.
I also don't like to mix 4 day starters with 5.

Overall like the team, but would make a few 'adjustments'.

I agree with jet40 and would add...

You only have 4 guys that take advantage of your park and are maxed out with BPHR's.

I'd like to see 5-6 lefties maxed out.

I'd move Smith in RF for Griffey Jr. or Strawberry or Ott/ Reg. Jackson etc...
@ 3B, I'd look for a righty or switchy with A LOT of hit chances or OB , ie. Traynor, Edgar Martinez, Miggy Cabrera etc...

I don't think you're going to like the end results if this team stays the way it is. Dunn is a lefty heavy park and your team isn't left heavy enough.
