Anyone have an explanation why HAL would leave my starter hang out to dry in the 10th inning all the way down to F0 to lose the game? I have no settings whatsoever on my starters, and had 6 well-rested guys in the bullpen.

The same reason HAL leaves pitchers in and they give up 15 runs... :?

I am convinced the settings are not impacting gameplay at all. It is a HALlucination that we have any real in-game impact by checking or unchecking menu boxes

I've seen HAL leave a tired guy if the bullpen guys are worse options - i.e., leave in a fatigued lefty starter to face a lefty if the top bullpen guys are fatigued from previous games and the non-fatigued bullpen guys are crappy right handers. I also see HAL leave in a very fatigued guy if he keeps getting batters out, until someone reaches.

That said, this feels like a pretty egregious miss. Once the first runner reaches and the SP fatigue drops below F9 and is above his pitch count, he should be coming out. Wilhelm should have come in to face Skowron once Berra reaches and Pierce had dropped to F6.
