WOW SUCH GREAT WORK ON ATG7.....

PostSun Dec 09, 2012 2:09 pm

So to summarize, after all this time waiting for a new set:
1) Out of the 4066 cards currently in ATG6, you removed the coolest 4 cards and replaced them with more boring versions
2) You decided to reprice ZERO of them
3) You added 200 new cards, most of which are boring.

Can I ask why you wouldn't run a random number generator on the current salaries, adjust them so that NEW guys become the steals of the set, so that the new set becomes nice and fresh? So not everyone preranks Ichiro and Delahanty #1.

Look what you would accomplish, guys! You could have the exact same cards, repriced, so that new cards are the steals, and then the next 12 months would become nice and fresh.

Guys, it wouldn't hurt to try. How do you expect to grow or keep your customer base when you do nothing to keep the game fresh? Why even waste the time and resources of releasing ATG7 when it is the exact same thing as ATG6? Realistically, you guys added about 4 cents of value with all the man hours you spent doing it. I'm not trying to be mean about it. Just think of it from the perspective of someone who has played ATG6 for over an entire year.

If you play mostly 200m or Live draft, ATG7 was basically a non-event.

this is certainly the first version since I've been involved with the game(ATG 3) that lacks anything cool at all. In all the previous versions, one could pull up the player list and spot several new guys that made you want to make a new team. This one makes me want to do other things with my life.

They should have spent the time they wasted on this fixing:

1. Live draft capability

2. Making manager ratings accessible

3. Improving the autodraft interface

4. Posting regular updates on what they are working on

I guess when you're king of your own little empire, you can ignore the peasants - at least until they stop putting money into your coffers.

Ladies and gentlemen of the Strat-O-Matic empire - there are other baseball sim games around. It's time you took notice of we, your faithful peasants, and fixed things that we perceive as problems rather than shoving absurd "features" like the shuffle the deck option down our throats and telling us it was 30 year old scotch and we should be grateful for it.

By the way, your royal highnesses should consider the fact that a year ago at this time I was typically running something like 20 teams. Right now I have five (and two are beginning playoff series tonight). I am putting my money where my mouth is - I suggest you do the same, and pronto.
