Where is my glove?

At times we all try and get away with a poor fielder at 1st base because a GBX only comes up twice every 216 rolls of the dice for the 1st baseman.
I just had a game where it came up 6 times for Dick Allen.
Here are the results

SINGLE plus error
gbC
SINGLE
SINGLE
SINGLE plus error
error

Oh well, 1 for 6 of holding out his glove and having the ball stick to it. :D

Too funny. When I play netplay, we occasionally have a "5" in the field (Dusty Rhodes, for example), and even he seems to catch the ball half the time. Dick Allen just had a bad day.

Dick Allen played for the White Sox in 1972 and being from Chicago and being a big Sox fan, I watched most of the games on TV or heard them on the radio, in addition to attending a half dozen or so games. Not only was Allen MVP, as he almost won the Triple Crown, finishing just a few points behind Rod Carew in the batting race, but he developed a reputation as an excellent fielder. When the Strato cards for 1972 were released, Allen was a 3 at first base, but in the online ATG game he was made a 4 more than 35 years later. There are a handful of players whose defensive ratings went down in the ATG game, including Bobby Bonds, who was a 1 in RF in 1973 (and most other years for that matter), but in the ATG game is a 2 in RF.
