Our 12-season, 200M Franchise league may need a replacement at the beginning of this season 5 - rules are listed below:

There's been a lot of great franchise theme leagues that balance the power by lowering the salary cap and combining franchises. A few of us thought it would be fun to create a franchise league that uses only the top 12 franchises (with a few supplements for the bottom end franchises) with the $200M salary cap but gives managers the opportunity to try their hand at a number of the franchises. The league would be a $200M, DH, 5/10/20 advanced. This a 12 season commitment so everyone gets each franchise once

Managers would be able to use any card for the player included in the listed franchises below if their other cards are not part of the 12 franchises. I've tried to allocate any conflicting cards to one franchise to achieve at least some sort of balance. We've also decided on the following adjustments to bring some balance and fill holes for certain franchises:

1,12,4,9,3,10,6,7,2,11,5,8 – Order of teams for future seasons

1. Yankees –no additions, own A-Rod and Ruth
2. Red Sox – no addition, own Pedro and Clemens
3. Giants (NY Giants, SF Giants) – no changes, own Bonds
4. A’s (Philly, KC, Oak) – own Rickey Henderson and Reggie Jackson and Brett, relinquish Lajoie
5. Negro Leaguers – add RP Fryman, Knowles and Foucault, SP Cicotte and Gooden
6. Cardinals: own Hornsby and McGwire, have access to top Pete Alexander card
7. Indians (all Cleveland teams) – add Sisler, Ivan Rodriguez, ownership of Lajoie and Mossi
8. Cubs: add Bagwell and Cedeno
9. Tigers – add Mathews, JR Richard, Walsh, Gary Carter, own Newhouser
10. Dodgers: (LA Dodgers, all Brooklyn teams) – add Chipper, Ripken, Guerrero, Aaron, own Reggie Smith
11. Pirates – add Biggio, Joe Mauer, Delahanty, own Van Slyke
12. Reds – add Helton, Maddux, Randy Johnson, Griffey Jr., own Paul O’Neill

Through the first four seasons, the league has been relatively balanced - Yankees have dominated as expected but have yet to win a WS title. 10 of the 12 teams have been in the playoffs or right on the edge of the playoffs, and we've continued to add to the Tigers and Dodgers lineups to help balance them out, and both received some benefit from the ATG7 additions. We will use the ATG7 set. The new owner begins with the Giants (team 3).

Let me know either in this thread or via pm or league mail if you are interested - we are giving the current owner a couple days, but would like to fill by Friday, so please be available to load a team Friday if you are interested. Thanks.
