Was thinking of keeping Radatz as closer and upgradsing pen, changing Dahlen for Wagner, and/or doing something with Anson.

Any thoughts?

Thanks

i think dahlen for wagner is a solid move, and i would consider dropping rivera for someone like page or glaze and use them as your 4th reliever. some people prefer a stronger pen, but i am not one of them. i prefer stronger SPers and a LH and RH specialist, another guy that can fill in the gaps and guy i can set as a super reliever. see teams below.

You have several options here

First, I leverage what the ball park gives me and provide counter-measures for the divisional ballparks.

Forbes 1957 protects weaker pitching and punishes power hitters. Your division has two other Forbes and that places a premium on OB, X outs, and base running.

I've gone both ways with the pitching staff. Over the seasons, I've trended to spending < 30% for pitching with the 60% of it on RPs. In this strategy, you'll need 280-300 IPs from the main reliever and 180-220 IPs from the #2 RP. Grab Schacht for .51 to mopup. Your SPs will average 180-200 IPs each.

I like Wagner over Rivera with League in your division. Sutter is better overall and I doubt available. Myers at $4.2 and $3.1 is a solid #2 guy out of the pen. Mad Hal and his reverse rating is nice at $1.8. I'm not a Radatz fan but he's fine for the #1 RP.

Given your division parks, I'd restructure your hitters with > 600 PAs, 1e field ratings with low errors at all positions possible. Currently, you're rostering 4 players with 15 game injury risks with two players sporting holes in their mitts. With no DH, you best field hitters across all the positions except maybe one.

For my teams, I'd topgrade

Cap Anson for George Sisler or Bill Terry
SS: Bobby Wallace
3B: Larry Gardner for Wade Boggs, George Brett, Frank Baker
CF: Ty Cobb for Ty Cobb 1909 (play in LF)

Hugh Duffy is a bit expensive in Forbes but I can't see the free agent list
