I need help I hate my team I didnt get alot of the people i wanted in the draft, then I had the same luck in waivers. I need suggestions.

you can not play sewell at SS. his defense will kill you. you have way too many 15 game injury guys (less than 600 PA) and not enough players to fill the line-up if they get injured. i think you are over paying for mathewson. there are plenty of suitable replacements for his rotation spot that cost a fraction of what mathewson does.

i would suggest you drop mathewson and ramirez, use sewell as your DH and use the extra cash saved from dropping mathewson and ramirez to pick up a SS that is a 1e or 2e. i would also probably play scales at 3B and pick up a 1e or 2e to play 2B.

I got rid of matthewson but I dont know who to change for at SS if I drop manny I need a power Hitter and I cant find one for cheaper

Andy Pafko would be great here, either in RF(preferred) or center, replacing Manny.........

I can see wanting to hang on to Manny's bat. I just think at 100 mil that is tough to do. 3 injury chances and 15 game a pop risk. With that it is certain he will be going down some time and you need a respectable replacement since you could be talking 15 games. When Manny is healthy that money for the replacement will be sitting wasted on your bench.

If you keep him put some time in to finding the right budget replacements to cover for the injuries without wasting too much money on bench. Remember a 3 mil backup represents what could be a 3 mil upgrade to an every day player somewhere else. Do you really believe Manny is going to deliver that much value?

At 200 mil he is a keeper. Maybe at 140. But at 100 I would not do it on my team.

You need a deeper bullpen also. Mariano alone is not enough being he's an R2. You don't need 7 *SP, fill them in with some better relievers around Mariano.

Relievers - yes! Those 9R and 9L relievers are going to be forced to face all hitters - you don't want that!! There has to be a replacement for Manny - whether it is a platoon or whatever - you could get lucky on his injuries but if you don't you have a huge hole in your lineup!

If you don't do a major overhaul, I see this team giving up 1100 runs. Can this team score more than that? Doubtful.

Get a SS and 2B that won't kill your pitching staff with horrid defense and use your DH slot on a RF that can fill in when Manny gets injured (almost guaranteed he will get hurt). You need to swap out some hitting for bullpen depth.

i would still go cheaper than brown. i would look at score or another pitcher in the 7-8 mil range. you will need another RP or 2 to cover the innings gap between the SPer's and rivera. i agree that pafko is a decent option but i would also pick up the cheap garciaparra for SS. he is a RH power hitter in a righty park.

Thank you for all the suggestions... Manny is my DH... Gwynn is my RF. Nomar is taken... I hate to replace manny with someone with less power and the only power options at SS are Arod Ripken and willie wells all above 9.75 mil there is rico peteocelli for 7.51.... When I look at Andy Pafko's 6 mil card it doesnt look that impressive.
