Here is the link for the second batter card addition poll.
http://kwiksurveys.com/s.asp?sid=fe0mocgk3csuux082162(Don't worry if you see an ad after you have voted: your vote is counted).
Here is the wish list with the stats (rudimentary, I know):
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?authkey=CPr8geoB&key=0AhbUd7KvVuIMdGpJMFpSVnFJTzBkTW14QzBtdjBKOXc&hl=en_US&authkey=CPr8geoB#gid=0(the color codes are the results of the first poll -- red, top 20%, yellow, next 20%, light blue next 20%, dark blue next 20%, and purple bottom 20%)
Please vote. Maybe our voices will be heard.
Bill
ps if you have any additional names or years, shout them out and I'll add them to the list.

We’ve had a rash of deaths lately in the baseball community! I started a number of memorial leagues honoring them, even the less known. One of those that I just heard about was my college coach at Howard U. Chuck Hinton. He went to HS with my mom so it came full circle when I attended that college for a few years…from humble beginnings in Rocky Mount, NC…..
I was hoping that maybe some new cards would be considered for ATG, including Chuck Hinton of the 60s Washington Senators. My outstanding list of others include ’77 Rennie Stennett, ’80 Jorge Orta, ’77 Roger Freed, Pepe Frias, ’77 Enos Cabell, Paul Householder, Joel Youngblood, Manny Mota’s best pinch hit year, ’76 or ’77 Lyman Bostock, Gene Richard, Offerman, Mike Ivie, Chris Brown, Larry Biitner, Ken Reitz, Aurelio Rodgriguez, Rick Aurebach, Ron Gant on Braves or Reds, Rex Hudler………Just a thought….

77 Roger Freed
No way. A career .245 hitter who only played parts of 8 seasons with a total of only 334 games up and hit .398 in only 95 PA.
This was a fluke year totally unworthy of ATG. We have plenty of legitimate greate hitters including many legitimate .400 hitters. We do not need ATG unleashed.
The only way a card like this should be considered is if there are usage limits introduced to prevent a fluke card like this from getting 600 PAs. Might as well bring back the fantasim cards and even add the entire fantasim set as include fluke seasons like this one.
Not sure what year Manny Mota's best pinch hit year might have been but problem with including such a card would be if it is good it will not be used as a pinch hitter. It will be installed somewhere and given 600 PAs. We need to keep ATG for full season players if not the truly great players of history.

How about Mantle 62. He was MVP and according to baseball-reference played both RF and CF. And he won a gold glove.

The MVP award is sometimes suspect as it can be a popularity contest and eliminates players on bad teams most years.
The Hank Aaron award is supposed to be the best position player without regard to things like how good his team was.
Submitted for consideration: Hank Aaron award winners not in set.
