as the board game, they should tell us.
Bill Terry is a 1e13. So how does he allow a single on a gb(1b)X? The whole point of paying up for 1-rated players is specifically to avoid this result!

if he's holding a runner at 1B his range gets a -1.

Its been a couple years since I played the CPU version but I think HAL will bring the corner infielders in if there is potential for the batter to bunt for a hit...

i would think that that would be negated by the "do not bring in the IF before..." setting. as long as the manager didn't change the settings to the 1st inning.

Could it be the don't bring infield in setting only applies to situations where the consideration is bringing the infield in as a response to a runner on third? For a speedster who might bunt for a hit the corner infielders may play in no matter what the inning or setting.

Regarding whether the online game uses the same charts as the board game that could also be complicated.
Remember there is the original basic charts. Then advanced and super advanced.

I believe the computer game uses the super advanced charts.

Here's the link to the game. Clemente is a B bunter and infield in is set for 5th inning. Now, that doesn't mean that HAL didn't do it anyway ...

Ok, just my opinion but Clemente is not the type hitter I would be concerned about bunting for a hit. So just my opinion but no way HAL should have been playing infielders in for a bunt. So have to agree no way this result could come off the fielding chart given a 1 rated fielder.

But then again the result was a single and an error. And no way that happens unless the rating being used was 2 and only way I see that being the case is HAL had the infield, or at least the corners in.

Bottom line as far as I am concerned this is a bug in the program code.
