PERSONAL FAVORITE ONLINE CARD OF ALL TIME

PostThu Feb 21, 2013 10:56 pm

Derrick MAY.
1999 set
$1.28 9R.
Averages 30 hr and 90 rbis in Tropicana. The epitome of value and what if and extrapolation.

hoping to only talk about online cards that we can see, comment, ridicule, try out etc. but whatever u got..just trying to get some old school OLE DAYS talk on the boards

Only a few will get this one, but one of my Favorites -
Eddie Miller - Fantasim

I once got 35 HR and over 100 RBI out of this guy in just 120 games after a trade from a guy who became a great online buddy (Scraps).

We do not have it online but there was a sixto lezcano card that would make a nice platoon partner with that Derrick May card.

Great memory, Doc Hackra!

Eddie Miller was one of those $1 bargains that made Fantasim so much fun. Elroy Face at a buck and Gary Peters at $2 were also favorites of mine.

I especially miss Scraps; when Fantasim went into the abyss we lost him. A great guy and the most willing trade partner one could find!

You know that Cesar Cedeno card was pretty sweet when it first came around.

I believe under 9 mil.. but price isn't what it was. In the old days, this card was a very unique breed. Still is one of a kind, just 10.5 is a ton. Really at its best in a pitchers park. Better 5 tool guy than any of these new 30/30 guys that I was accustomed to.

I love that Craig Reynolds cheap SS card - at $0.52, hits with some pop from the left side. Way back, used him in a SS platoon with another cheapo and won a title.

I'd be called out immediately by PJMB if I didn't say Buck Weaver. ;)

Fantasim card: Roy Face stands out, Ralph Kiner was the sure way to a top 5 finish, Max Carey had a great card in the mix, John Hiller and Don Newcombe had 20 game winner potential cards hidden in the mix...

Agree with Doc and Harry about that Eddie Miller card. Maybe the best bargain of all time!

I also miss Scraps as well. We'd trade players, stories, barbs and critiques almost every night.

Probably many ATGers would disagree, but I can't remember ever having a bad season out of the $8.95 Harry Heilmann card.
