Cicotte no hitter almost perfecto

PostSat Mar 02, 2013 10:40 am

Ed Cicotte was nearly perfect. Only runner was with 2 outs in the 8th when gold glover Jimmy Rollins booted a routine ground ball.
The only threat of a hit was in the second inning when Stan Musial missed on a 1-17 draw for a BP HR

My ace, Jack Pfeister (1906) a crafty left hander, came close to a perfecto yesterday as well. The only base runner was a two out walk to Lou Gehrig in the 7th inning.
