HAL

I was thinking yesterday about something and decided to make a poll.
We all complain occasionally about HAL. Sometimes I agree HAL is an idiot. Sometimes I wonder if we ask too much and the complaint reminds me of how often I disagree with real life baseball managers who know more than I ever will about baseball.
Sometimes the discussions that follow debate whether what HAL does is realistic and whether a real life MLB manager would do the same thing HAL did. Sometimes we debate whether we would have done the same thing if playing face to face.
So the question is if the programming team at Strato came to you saying they were rewriting HAL and asked for your advice on what the goal should be....
Would you say HAL should manage a team like a real life manager would.
Would you say HAL should manage a team like we would if playing live face to face.
They are not the same thing. For example face to face dice rolling we are probably not as concerned about overworking a reliever leading to injury.
