...how this happened:

Milt May is up against Bob Shirley, the roll is a 6-2, should be a fly out (rf)B, but instead the box score says single to cf, and my team loses.

I don't get it!!!

Actually I would have lost on the flyout B, but why the single to center.

Maybe there is some double secret super advanced "outfield in" rule when the OF plays shallow to eliminate fly(b) and it went over his head.

I would assume it is a scenario where the outfield is playing shallow enough to get the tagging(and winning) runner at the plate. Long flyball ends up being a single as the outfielder sees there is no shot to get there and throw the runner out at the plate.

The above is correct. There is a super advanced Outfield In option, not really secret though. It's in the Strat rule book. Looks like this is what happened.

Thank you, haven't had to many plays that required me to find this in the rule book.

As already said. Runners at 2nd and 3rd with less than 2 out. No need to have anyone playing deep. So Hal plays infield shallow as he should so he can throw runner out or hold runner at third in the event of a fly ball. Fly ball is hit over RFers head and CF speeds over to pick it up but not fast enough to have a chance on throwing out runner at third.

Standard baseball. We should probably give Hal a pat on back for job well done there.
