I will also give a big thumbs up to Matt Williams.

Benji Oglivie - 5.42
George Sisler - 7.67
Jesse Tannehill - 6.50
Chick Stahl - 2.11

Just a few that come to mind. They always over-perform for me.

Cepeda had no idea he was that cheap. I have never even had em.

I started out the tail end of ATG3. One of my favorites for the cash was the 62 Johnny Edwards at .98m which to me was a huge bargain.

I did on many occasions go with Topper Rigney at short because I could not pass up the bargain. Over time I had to give up on it and did try a few times at DH.

here is a Topper season that I was very impressed with.

Oh and Ron Gant has been awesome for the cash as a DH.

Eddie Stanky (6.08M) ALWAYS comes in with OBP over .400....half the price of others that usually achieve that...

Jim Gantner '82 - gives you a high BA and decent defense for just a mil
Steady Eddie Murray '83 - rare switch hitter with power on both sides, great glove, seems like he always hits .300, 40 HR 120 RBI for under $7 mil
Sudden Sam McDowell '70 - my favorite pitcher card hands down, pitches like a 10 mil ace, tons of K's, tireless, no errors, holds runners, can hit .300
Ron Taylor '70 - gets the job done in lefty parks for under a mil

The 2.95 Stanky is underated - a ton of walks on a 60-80 mil bomber team. Also, Zeke Bonura at 3.00 - he hit 60 bombs for me once in a 100 mil league. And Jim Fregosi .87 card is a starter on 60 mil teams, and a valuable back up on 80-100 mil teams - damn, I should shut up now!!! Oh, and by the way - the 8.93 Joss is a stud SP card.

Lots of good hitters out there! What ever happened to the Ray Knight/Dennis Walling platoon combo?
Mo Vaughn at 3.78M
Joe Torre at 7.7M
Ted Klu at 6.07M
Ray Boone against lefties @ 2.69M
Jeff Heath against righties @ 4.79M
