Waiver Suggestions

Good morning everyone.

Waivers is later this afternoon. My current waiver plan is to get a RF and swap out my 6 mil pitcher for cheaper. Plus get a couple PH and maybe a PR. I was also thinking of upgrading CF as well. There is alot left on the wire, at all positions. I plan on keeping Anson even though his D is putrid, although upgrading Terry is an option. I am not married to Hamilton.

Thoughts and ideas always welcome.

Thanks

--I like your 2-4 starters. I wouldn't drop too low on your Lucas replacement. Forbes57 is a hitters park (just not home runs). It will favor your hitters.........
--spend the extra .47 to upgrade Hornsby to the 12.00. With Shibe50 and Wrigley59 in division, I think you'll be glad you did.
--I usually don't spend a lot on upgrading the bench. How much better is Harry Walker than Johnny Rucker? Not much.

Look for Drysdale for Lucas here, he is money in forbes. Ryan works too.

The rest are fine, not big on higby, maybe Tiant or someone like him. Look for guys with BPHRs that are neutralized here and hence great values for you.

On offense in Forbes I always feel balance is the key, and since you are in an 80 mill league even more so.

I would personally drop hornsby, great hitter but ties up a lot of dough. Frisch is a personal favorite here, or lately have used Lajoie a lot here, both are money. This frees up several million for you.

Definitely upgrade Terry to at least the 6.16 version or better. I have lately been using Mattingly (7.51) here, gives you more pop than Terry and is a great RBI guy.
Steinfeldt is nice here (his 6.16 card :)), but if Lindstrom is there grab him.
Upgrade Lofton too and keep him, he is awesome here!
Don't care for hamilton much here, fielding is lousy and he never seems to perform to his card. I use Donlin often here, always performs.
Not sure what you are thinking in RF, but love Suzuki here, or for a little more $$ Gwynn (8.44 version).
I'm assuming it is a DH league. Anson will work, or Carew (3.77). I have never used Aybar, but he looks OK.

As Andy said, no expensive backups. I never spend more that .6 mill on bench guys in 80 mill..waste of $$.

Here is a link to a recent Forbes 57 that won it all...very typical team for me at this $$

Good luck!

Thanks Mike.

I actually had a bunch of those waivers already queued and didn't want to tip my hand early.
