This is a new one on me, but maybe I just haven't followed the play-by-plays closely enough:
0 F.Frisch 3-6 Single (RF) b-1 F9
0 1 B.Boone h&r Home Run (CF) 1-H b-H F9
0 E.Aybar 6-12 Strike Out b-0 F9
1 R.Sadecki 5-8 Line Out (SS) b-0 F9
2 K.Cuyler 6-11 Strike Out b-0 F9
Back when I was playing the board game, the best hit and run result I can remember was a double. But if Bob Boone can power up for a homer in a pitchers park (this game was played in Robison Field) maybe this strategy is better than I give it credit for.
