Delahanty $8.21m

PostFri Jul 19, 2013 10:09 am

Has anyone else noticed that the $8.21m Delahanty card, despite having awesome OB chances both ways, often provides very mixed results - especially against RH pitching? I've used this card now a fair number of times in good small ball parks and been disappointed frequently.

Here is a link to my latest Delahanty team and the poor results he is producing against RH's.

I might express my opinion of the card like this:

its good to great card to have on your team, so long as you don't have to depend on him to deliver a great season.

Don't you mean Joe Kelley?
My last Delahanty season, he hit .331 with a .418 on base

You certainly did a lot of roster tinkering on that squad already. So you bailed on him after 40 games while he was hitting .320 and .280 something against righties?.. I think for the money he is a great small ball team center fielder. I have had great success with him and George Sisler anchoring small ball lineups, especially the 60 million dollar entries. But if you continue to say bad things about him he is a very sensitive individual and he might jump off a bridge.

IMO 40 games is way too early to bail on a card like his.

I've used him 3 times, never world beater numbers but usually held up his end of the bargain, and luckily I never had him go down much.

I agree with dan. Kelly seems to under perform more than delahanty. both are subject to lower results when facing primarily 2+BR Sps.

Those #'s vs. RH'ers weren't bad enough to ditch that early into the season.

you guys keep tossing him back.... :ugeek: LOOK into my eyes....you're getting sleepy...now when I snap my fingers you'll awake and the only thing you'll remember is that DELO sucks and that you won't draft him ever again and if you accidentally pick him up off of waivers...you'll drop him or trade him to me....for say Kelley...SNAP!
