given the right team around him i would have to say yes, he is worth it.

I would agree that he's worth it.
I still miss his Fantasim card, however, because even though it was inappropriate for use here in ATG, it was one of the few reminders of the late, lamented Fantasim game; someday the small, but passionate gang of Fantasim players will get an explanation of where that game went, just not anytime soon apparently.

He's still one of the best SS options in ANY park!! Just have a decent backup - he might miss a few games.
